Library student extraordinaire Alexis Zirpoli made a great flickr set to show what books have to go through before they make it to the shelves.
I’d love to see this in other departments and other libraries.

Really nice behind-the-scenes look at the library. I’m guess it’s also a fairly low-time, low-cost way to make this info available?
It took me about 4 or 5 hours, all told, to take the pictures, and to upload, arrange, and caption them. I used a camera from the Knowledge Navigation Center.
